The RED Engineering Story

What drives us.

RED Engineering was established by Clemens Brandt in 2011 when the market for the development of renewable energy in South Africa was expected to boom with the proposed feed-in tariffs. As an engineering and consulting firm, RED Engineering was set up to assist foreign companies in establishing a foothold in the local market. When, subsequently the government decided not to pursue the RE-FIT scenario but to rather introduce the very successful REIPP program, our focus shifted to the consulting, engineering and installation of solar PV rooftop systems.

Our intimate knowledge of the South African market and its unique challenges has enabled us to establish a far-reaching network both locally and internationally.

Through ongoing training and extensive qualifications we are able to provide a service for turn-key projects of any size, from the initial client assessment, engineering and design of the PV system through to the installation and commissioning of the plant.

As an additional service we also offer energy assessments and audits as well as consulting on the implementation of energy management systems (EnMS) according to the international ISO 50001 management standard.
